Tilton-----Alfred Valmore "Val" Lavallee, 93, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the New Hampshire Veterans Home, Tilton,NH, after receiving excellent care.
Val was born on July 2, 1923 in Laconia, the son of Alfred and Alexina (Robichaud) Lavallee. He had been a resident of Laconia for 37 years, and also a resident of Meredith for 54 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps.
Val worked for the Laconia State School and was owner for over 30 years of Oak Hill Campground in Meredith. He liked to golf and enjoyed watching all sports. Val was a member of the New Hampshire State Employees Association.
Val is survived by his daughter, Paula J. (Smith) Groleau and her husband, Lucien H. Groleau, formerly of Meredith and recently of Spring Hill, TN; three grandchildren, Christopher Groleau, of Meredith, Aaron Groleau, of Columbia, TN and Stacy (Groleau) Connor, of Thompson's Station, TN; eight great grandchildren, Anthony Connor, Anastasia Connor, Caliana Connor, Sophie Conkling, Emma Groleau, Samantha Groleau, Zoe Groleau, Cailyn Johnston, and a niece Louise (LeGrice) Sewell, of Laconia, who visited Val every week. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, June (Clow) Lavallee, brothers, Wilfred and Lawrence Lavallee, sisters, Doris (Lavallee) Poire and Edwina (Lavallee) LeGrice.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
