Ronnie G. Shealey, 67, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, May 5, 2017, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Earlie Holt officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Shealey was born July 6, 1949, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Homer G. “Tab” & Faye Ross Shealey. He lived in the community all of his life and worked in maintenance at BFD Tobacco Equipment in Willacoochee as well as Deep South in Fitzgerald. He loved to farm, feed the fish, watch Westerns and NASCAR. Mr. Shealey enjoyed go-cart racing and being the crew chief, with his sons. He also enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs and the Purple Hurricanes. Mr. Shealey served his country honorably in the United States Army, during the Vietnam war.
He is survived by his children: Ronald Scott Shealey & Angela of Fitzgerald, Cameron Kolby Scott Shealey & Amber of Mystic, April Garrett Shealey of Fitzgerald and Autumn Danielle Shealey of Tifton; nine grandchildren and two brothers: Doug & Kathy Shealey and Larry Shealey, all of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Homer Glenn Shealey and Clifford Wayne Shealey and two grandchildren: Corey Scott Shealey and Isaiah Garrett Shealey.
