Mr. Steven Angelo Vano of Andover, cherished son, a loyal brother, a devoted father, beloved husband of Katherine O. (White) Vano of 31 years, passed away unexpectedly at the Winchester Hospital on Sunday morning, April 30, 2017. He was 58 years old.
Born in Waltham on October 3, 1958, he was the son of Caroline A. (Martino) Vano and the late Amato A. Vano. Steve was a graduate of Bentley College and had worked as a Global Credit and Collections Manager for many years. In his spare time, Steve enjoyed cooking with his daughter, Sam, as well as watching and coaching his son, Joe, in a variety of sports. Every Saturday morning, Steve would get up to scramble Kenny, his four legged companion, an egg. He also took great pleasure in watching the Boston Sports Team's and serving as a leader in the church and community, but above all his family meant the world to him. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy, his loving children; Samantha C. Vano and Joseph A. Vano, both of Andover. His siblings; Dennis A. and his wife Patty J. Vano of Sudbury, Gina M. Fournier of Framingham and Brian E. Vano of Wareham. His in-laws; Sue and her husband Jim White of Maine, Danny and his wife Laura White of New Jersey, Diane and her husband Bob Palazzi of New Jersey, Fred Swart of New Jersey and the late Terry Swart. He will also be sorely missed by many nieces, nephews and friends, as well as his dog, Kenny.
A Celebration of his Life will be held in the West Parish Church, 129 Reservation Road, Andover on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at 4 PM. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. Interment will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, donations in support of the Vano children’s education, in Stevens memory, can be made payable to, Kathy Vano, Care of West Parish Church, 129 Reservation Road, Andover Ma, 01810.
