Beverly R. (Jackson) Maguire, age 89, of Brockton, died April 29, 2017 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater. She was the wife for 67 years of the late Clifford D. Maguire. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Kathryn (Hill) Jackson. She was raised and educated in Quincy, and had been a resident of Brockton for 60 years. Beverly had been employed at Raytheon in Quincy and retired in 1996 after 26 years as a school bus driver in Holbrook. She loved to spend time with family, especially following her son and grandson’s softball and baseball games. She also enjoyed her pets, playing Bingo and for many years bowled in local leagues.
Beverly was the mother of June R. Dillon and her husband James, John R. Maguire and his wife Cherie all of Brockton, and the late Steven P. Maguire; grandmother of Kristin, Steven P. Maguire, Jr. Michelle Dillon and the late Shawn Dillon; great grandmother of Joseph and Derek Dwyer and Stephanie and Megan Dillon; sister of Shirley Lentz of Plymouth and the late Muriel Campbell, Robert, Ralph and Harold Jackson. Beverly’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Life Care Center for their wonderful care of Beverly over the years.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 10am-12pm, followed by a funeral service at 12pm. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
