Shirley G. (Baker) Brown, 89, of Medway died Sunday, April 30, 2017 at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. She was the beloved wife of John D. “Dannie” Brown who died in 2008.
Born in Everett on March 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Bullen) Baker.
Mrs. Brown was a resident of Medway since 2004 and formerly resided in Millis and Sherborn. She was a homemaker and most importantly a loving mom and grandmother.
Mrs. Brown enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making jewelry and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son Shawn W. Brown and his wife Kathi of Malden, a daughter Kimberly G. Gonfrade and her husband Joseph of Bellingham and two grandchildren, Alexander Gonfrade and Sean Brown.
She is also survived by a brother Charles Baker and his wife Grace of Florida and Maine, a sister Ruth Belliveau of Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Betty Rose and her husband Ronnie, Jack Baker and his wife Connie and Robert Baker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Saturday, May 6 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 14 School Street, Medway followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway.
In lieu of flowers, Shirley’s family request that donations be made in her memory to MetroWest Hospice, 85 Lincoln St, 3 Floor, Framingham, MA 01702 or to Christ Episcopal Church, 14 School St., Medway, MA 02053.
