Joseph Wallace “Joe” Davis, Jr, 65 went home to be with his Heavenly Father Friday, April 28, 2017 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He retired from the Louisville Water Company. After retiring he devoted his time working with ministries and recovery programs, Joe was also an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Joseph Wallace Davis, Sr; brothers, Ronnie Davis, Bobby Davis; and a sister, Diane Greenwell.
He is survived by his children, Joseph W. Davis, lll, Alexander Davis, Heather Barton (Scott) and Jackie Gosser; sister, Kathy Brumleve (Earl); the mother of his children, Debbie Davis; five grandchildren, Georgia Barton, Charlotte Barton, Seth Gosser, Hannah Zoeller and Hailey Davis; friend and caretaker, Dennis Stabley; and many nieces nephews.
His visitation will be 1 pm to 7 pm Wednesday, with his funeral service beginning at 7 pm, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway; cremation to follow.
Expressions may be made to the Healing Place in his honor.
