Cleveland Harold “Hattie” Tawzer, Jr., 60, of Tifton passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Wayside Baptist Church in Tifton with the Rev. Larry Cone and the Rev. Josh Campbell officiating. Mr. Tawzer will be laid to rest at Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 3, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Steve Flippo, Keith Kendricks, Stanley Harper, Joe Tawzer, Don Tawzer and Brian Bailey will serve as pallbearers.
Born September 17, 1956 in Tifton, Mr. Tawzer was the son of Cleveland Harold Tawzer, Sr. and Maggie “Libby” Cone Tawzer of Tifton. He was co-owner of Tawzer Construction Company in Tifton and a member of Wayside Baptist Church in Tifton. He enjoyed dirt-track racing, western movies, Alabama and Atlanta Falcons football, arrowhead hunting, deep-sea fishing and he dearly loved his children and his five granddaughters.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Tawzer is survived by his children, Charlene Tawzer and Oliver Holt of Salford, England, Eli Tawzer of Fyffe, Alabama and Tyrell Tawzer of Tifton; his siblings, Johnny Tawzer, Debbie Domingue and Tommy Tawzer and wife Duane Tawzer, all of Tifton; his five granddaughters, Kaitlyn Hendley, Donna Hendley, Savannah Hendley, Peyton Tawzer-Camarillo and Sofia Rey Holt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
