BRISTOL, RI… Lorraine J. “Lori” (Manchester) Gagnon, 84, formerly of Tiverton, RI passed away Saturday April 29, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Raymond C. Gagnon.
Mrs. Gagnon was born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Norman and Myra (Valcourt) Manchester, and had lived most of her life in Tiverton.
She taught piano and organ most of her adult life. Later, she was employed by the former Dufour Organ and Piano Store as a Music Teacher and Salesperson. On several occasions, while at Dufour’s, Lorraine was acknowledged for her salesmanship with trips provided by Yamaha.
Mrs. Gagnon enjoyed playing the piano, organ, talking politics, roller skating, line dancing, square dancing, gardening, her beloved dogs, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son David R. Gagnon and his wife Cindie of Westerly, RI, three daughters: Donna M. Gagnon of Reno, NV, Linda Lage and her husband Arthur of Swansea, Cheryl A. Allen of Fairhaven, 8 grandchildren: Steven, Jennifer, Janice, Kirby, Scott, Katelin, Bowen, and Hayden, 2 great grandchildren: Tyler and Abby.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday May 4, 2017 at 8:30 AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd, Fall River at 10AM. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Potter League For Animals, 87 Oliphant Ln, Middletown, RI 02842.
