Christian Allen Meadows, 19, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Saturday, April 29, 2017, in Berrien County from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Blane Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Christian was born August 8, 1997 in Fitzgerald, Georgia. He was a 2015 graduate of Irwin County High School where he played trombone in the Marching Big Red Band from 6th grade until his junior year. He was active in the FFA program and enjoyed showing hogs. Christian was passionate about anything agricultural as well as animals. He farmed with Dan Glenn and Chip & Art Dorminy. He was currently attending Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and had been accepted to the pre-veterinary program to attend Auburn University in the fall. Christian loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing and spending time with his birddogs, Teal & Sage. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he had been active in the youth program while in high school.
He is survived by his parents, Shannon & John Deen of Irwin County and Jeremy & Michelle Meadows of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; siblings, Jeremiah Alexander Meadows, Kevin Lane Deen, and John Waylon Deen; and grandparents, Ollie Brown of Fitzgerald and JoAnn & Elisha Vickers of Douglas.
