Obituary

Dan Willard Reardon, 73, of Anderson, passed away on April 13, 2017 at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born on May 26, 1943 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, the son of J. Willard and Louise (Locher) Reardon.
He grew up in Erie, PA where he graduated from McDowell High School in 1961. Dan graduated from Anderson College in 1965 with a degree in business.
During his career in the insurance industry, he worked for several companies, retiring from Commercial Union Assurance Co. in 1998 as a Commercial Underwriter.

Dan was an active member of Park Place Church of God where he served on the Board of Trustees and the Endowment Committee. In retirement, he volunteered at the Food Pantry and helped maintain the church property. He was also a member of Mounds Kiwanis Club where he was involved in many community projects.

Dan enjoyed traveling with friends, fishing in Canada, vacationing with family in favorite places such as Hilton Head Island and the Smoky Mountains. Dan loved talking about cars and he loved his pets, especially his Dog, "Tucker".

He is survived by his wife, LeAnna (Goossen) Reardon, whom he married June 8, 1974, a brother Lowell E. (Cindy) Reardon of Flowery Branch, GA, a sister, Ann Reardon of Ft. Wayne, two nieces Cathy (Eric) Grieb, Robyn (Alex) Ortolano, one great niece and five great nephews; Connor, Rowan, Kaylee Grieb and Tyler, Jack, Nathan Ortolano.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his step mother, Virginia (Johnson) Reardon.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Park Place Church of God in Anderson. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday May 4, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service and one hour prior to the memorial service Friday at the church. Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Park Place Church of God Endowment Fund or Anderson University, Willard and Virginia Reardon Endowed Scholarship Fund.
