Tony N. Repekta, 72, of Worcester died on April 23, 2017 in the Rose Monahan Hospice.
He leaves a daughter, Shannon Husson, four grandchildren, Joseph Repekta, Shianne Husson, Troy Repekta and Michael Husson and cousins. His son, Thomas Repekta died in 2014. He was born in Worcester, son of Tony and Jean (Lowe) Repekta and his paternal grandparents Anthony and Eugenia (Kozak) Repekta helped to raise him.
Tony was a fork lift operator 27 years for Newton Buying Corp. and retired several years ago. He graduated from South High School, Class of 1963. Tony was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam war and was a Sergeant and served with the Cavalry in Vietnam. He had been a member of the P.A.V. and Quinsigamond Post American Legion. Tony was a diehard New York Yankees, Giants, Knicks and Rangers fan and also a University of Oklahoma fan. Special thanks to his aides, the nurses and staff at UMASS Medical Center, University 4th floor and at Rose Monahan for the care given to Tony.
The funeral gathered from 10:00 AM on Wednesday May 3, 2017 in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St, proceeding to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St, for his funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial with Military Honors followed in Hope Cemetery.
