Evans, GA – Mary S. Humrich, 87, entered into rest on Friday, April 21, 2017 at her home in Brandon Wilde.
Mary, a native of Detroit MI., graduated from the University of Michigan in ’51 where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. It was there that she met her late husband of 44 years, Jack F. Humrich.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2 pm in the Georgia Room at Brandon Wilde. A small reception will follow.
Mary taught 1st grade before raising her family of four. They lived for several years in Detroit, MI, Williamsville, NY, and Ridgewood, NJ before moving to Augusta, GA in 1985. Mary had a successful career as a Human Resources Manager for several retail and manufacturing organizations in NJ & GA. After retiring, Mary was very active in the Brandon Wilde community and gave countless volunteer hours to University Hospital.
Her survivors include two sons; David R. Humrich (Lori) of Richmond, VA, John A. Humrich (Patricia Kenny) of Fairport, NY, and two daughters; Mary M. Atella (Paul) of Ft. Collins, CO, Margaret H. Myers (Scott) of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren; Joel Atella, Jacob Humrich, Hannah Humrich, Olivia Humrich, Sarah Humrich, Jack Humrich, Nicholas Myers, and Megan Myers.
