Mary Kathleen Erwin, 63 years of age, of Taunton passed away on Sunday April 23, 2017, at her home in Taunton. Mary and her family moved to Carver in 1972 where she attended Plymouth-Carver High School, a graduate of the class of 1973, she went on to further her education graduating from Massasoit Community College with a Associates Degree in Business. Mary worked for many years with her father Charles Erwin on the family Arabian horse farm Char-Mar, where she taught many children the love of horses and was a riding instruction/horse trainer. Mary retired from the horse business and moved to Taunton where she enjoyed spending time where her friends and her beloved dog Arty. Mary was the daughter of the late Charles and Marion Erwin, sister to the late Michael Erwin. Mary is survived by her brother Brian Erwin and his wife Terry of Virginia, sister Nancy Barr and her husband Jim of Plymouth. She was the proud Aunt of Elizabeth, Kathleen, Andrew, Matthew, Emily, Dominic, Rilynn, Michael, Reese and Rowan.
Memorial visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 27th from 6-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in Mary’s name to Relay for Life, 1324 Belmont St, Suite 204-101, Brockton, MA 02301 or at www.relayforlife.org.
