Adams, Dempil H. of Louisville passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the age of 92. She was born on July 11, 1924 to Taylor and Rhoda Herald in Floyd County, Kentucky. After graduating Prestonsburg High School she attended nurse's training at Nazareth College at which time she met and married Billy M. Adams while he was attending medical school at the University of Louisville. She was a Registered Nurse and Surgical Supervisor for Louisville General Hospital and a member of Ralph Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed travel and was a devoted mother and grandmother to her family. She was preceded in death by her son, John C. Adams, her husband, Dr. Billy M. Adams, and her brother, John B. Herald. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn A. Doucette, her son, Wayne M. Adams and his spouse, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Adams will be Tuesday, April 25th from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
