Filomena S. (Abreu) Santos passed away on Saturday, April 15th, 2017. She was born in Flamengos, Faial, Acores in 1919 and emigrated to New Bedford, Ma in 1965. She was the widow of Antonio Garcia Dias and George Santos, mother of Armando Dias and Ligia Pereira. She was mother-in-law to Manuel Pereira and Maria Emiliana, grandmother of Armando Pereira, (married to Elizabeth Pereira) and Emiliano Dias, great grandmother to Victoria Dumas, (married to Luke Dumas)
She was predeceased by her six sisters and brother; Maria Gomes, Ana Abreu, Umbelina Abreu, Mariana Amaral, Helena Furtado, Hortense Garcia and Jose Silva and leaves behind several nephews and nieces.
In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated and her burial will be private.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at St.Julie Biliart Parish, 494 Slocum R., Dartmouth on Wednesday, April 26th, 2017 at 10 A.M..
