ATHOL – Hilda (Brilhante) Rosa, age 94 of Athol, MA and formerly of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Quabbin Valley Healthcare Center, Athol. She was the beloved wife of the late Antone Rosa and the daughter of the late Joseph & Anna (Correia) Brilhante.
Prior to retiring, Hilda worked in nursing at Charlton Memorial Hospital for 20+ years, and then for the Ladies International Garment Center. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, and a member of the Nurses Retirement Assoc., North End Assoc., and a volunteer for the pastoral services at Catholic Memorial Home.
She is survived by her son: Antone Thomas Rosa and daughter-in-law Susan B. Rosa of Athol, MA; her brother: George Brilhante and sister-in-law Hilda Brilhante of Fall River; granddaughters: Cheryl Rosa & Karen Dellea; great granddaughters: Emma & Eva Dellea; several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Alfred Brilhante.
Her private funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, N. Main St. Fall River at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
