Armand Trepanier, 89, of Westport, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center. He was the husband of the late Janice R. (Smith) Trepanier.
Mr. Trepanier was born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph L. and Gertrude (Clough) Trepanier and had resided in Westport for most of his life. A veteran of both WWII and the Korean Conflict, he served his country in the U.S. Navy as a member of the Seabees. Prior to his retirement in 1989, he worked as a postal worker for the USPS. He was a founding and lifetime member of the Watuppa Boat Club and a member of the Westport Council on Aging. He was a communicant of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Fall River and enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and gardening.
Survivors include his 2 sons: Armand Trepanier, Jr. of Assonet and William L. Trepanier of Westport; his 2 daughters: Janet D. Krobot of PA and Joyce L. Hegarty of NH; a brother: Allan Trepanier of Westport; 2 sisters: Gertrude Vigeant of Somerset and Claire Nadeau of CA; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center for the compassionate care they gave to Mr. Trepanier.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
