BUXTON- Thomas “Tom” Keith Guthzeit, age 62, passed away on April 15, 2017, after a long illness surrounded by his loved ones, in Buxton.
Tom was born on Oct. 11, 1954, in Placerville, CA to the late William and Barbara (Webb) Guthzeit.
Tom lived in foster care and bounced around quite a bit growing up.
He went into the Army at age 18, was stationed in Germany, and served in Vietnam. Upon his return, he went through a trade school for mechanics. Tom was a laborer most of his life. He enjoyed sitting in the sun with a good book, but most of all he enjoyed being with his friends.
Tom is survived by his son Delwin Kimball of Hartland and several grandchildren; three brothers- William and his wife Martha Guthzeit of Buxton, Robert Guthzeit of Portland and Ralph Guthzeit of Buxton; nieces and nephews- Nolan Godso of Plymouth, Charmain Gordon of Lewiston, Shena Bourgeois of Hanover and Patricia Guthzeit of Buxton; and many great nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents- Bill and Barbara Guthzeit; and a sister- Marie Anderson.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday April 23, 2017 at 1 PM at his brother William's home – 2 Callahan Road in Buxton.
