Diane Marie Everett, age 61, a former Natick resident, passed away suddenly at her home in Millis, MA on April 13, 2017.
Diane was the beloved daughter of the late William P. And C. Marcia (Lavelle) Everett of Natick and Framingham MA.
After graduating from Natick High School where Diane was a class officer and member of the Tennis Team (Class of 1973), Diane continued her studies at Mount St. Mary College in Hookset, NH. and Bridgewater State College. Diane worked as an Administrative Assistant at Boston Scientific, Drake, Beam and Morin and Carter-Hoffman among others.
In earlier years, Diane loved her time working with her family at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home where her tremendous sense of empathy and compassion helped many grieving families through their very difficult times. Until her death Diane held dear to her the town and people of Natick.
Diane was extremely proud of her Irish Heritage and throroughly enjoyed Irish music. Her trip to Ireland with her father was one of her most treasured life highlights; both of them finding complete enjoyment in roaming the stunning Irish countryside and legendary Irish Taverns along the way!
She was an avid reader and history buff. Diane longed for summers when she could be seen sitting in the sun reading her latest novel, or more recently helping to teach her great nephew Ryan to swim in the backyard pool!
Most of all, Diane was an extremely generous, kind, thoughtful, and loving daughter, sister, Aunt, Great-Aunt and friend. Her love of laughter, keen sense of humor and heart of gold will be truly missed by her entire family. There was nothing Diane enjoyed more in life than watching her beloved neices and nephews growing up and having children of their own!
Through the internet Diane felt a true sense of connection to her family and extended family and friends especially in later years when she was less mobile.
Diane is survived by her sister Catherine M. Everett of Needham, MA and brother William P. Everett of Denver CO. She is also survived by her beloved nephews and neices and familes; J. Patrick and Frances Blickman of Scottsdale, AZ; Christopher Blickman ( with Ryan) of Natick, MA; Shawn (Everett Bready) and Trevor Wise (with Garrett and Dolan) of Severna Park, MD; Molly (Everett Bready) and Scott Urban (with Mackenzie, Bready, Cooper and Griffin) of Salisbury, MD, Elizabeth “Liz” ( Everett) and Tyler Ammerman ( with Izzy and Slade) of Boulder, CO; William P. Everett III of Denver, Co. and Bridget Everett and Troy Erikson (with Shane and Lily) of Fort Collins, CO.
Including her Aunts and Uncles Diane held very dear to her heart her many cousins and their families, extended families and many deeply treasured friends who brought her so much kindness, caring, love, friendship, companionship, joy and laughter over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common, on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 10-11:45 am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Church at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery.
