CHICOPEE – Shirley A. (Bryan) Rosenhoover, 84, a longtime resident of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She passed into Eternal Life at the Willimansett Center East in Chicopee surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania on August 20, 1932, a beloved daughter of the late Joseph E. and Anna M. (Albert) Bryan. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who showered her family with her love and affection that was returned to her a thousand fold. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Fairview. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, John R. Rosenhoover, Jr. They were married on August 8, 1951 at Sacred Heart Church in Altoona and were blessed with over 65 years of happiness together. She also leaves her three loving daughters, Karen R. Lawson of Northampton, Faith A. Brouillard and her husband, Rheo, of Hampton, CT and Gail A. Turgeon and her husband, Denis, of Springfield; her four cherished grandchildren, Kristi Flitcraft and her husband, Daryl, Bryan Brouillard and his wife, Karin, Thomas Brouillard and his wife, Cristin, and Steven Turgeon and his wife, MaryJo; her eight cherished great-grandchildren, Brooke, Holden, Piper and Alexis Flitcraft, Jasmine, Julissa and Bijoux Brouillard and Christian Turgeon; her dear sister, Mary Bettwy of Altoona; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Rosenhoover and Bryan families. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her loving son-in-law, Robert Lawson who was Called Home in June 12, 2015; and her two dear brothers, Jack and Charles Bryan. A Funeral Mass and Inurnment will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family.
