Lucy A. (Zarovski) Walkowski, age 92, of Brockton, died Thursday, April 13, 2017 following a brief illness. Lucy was the loving wife for 63 years of Paul J. Walkowski. Born and raised in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Leokadia (Bielska) Zarovski. Lucy was a graduate of Chelsea High School, and following her marriage in September 1, 1946, resided in Dorchester. Lucy was an independent woman who appreciated life and was devoted to her family. She was a longtime communicant of Christ the King Church and enjoyed needlepoint.
Lucy is survived by a son Gregory Walkowski and his wife Margherita of Taunton and Orleans; three grandchildren Joshua Walkowski, Gabrielle Kyriakides and her husband Jason and Michael Kyriakides and two great grandchildren Henry and Gideon Serino. She was the mother of the late Susan M. Kyriakides and sister of the late Catherine Gilinsky, Caroline Chamberlain, Victor Zarovski and Ziggy Zarovski.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 8am for a funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 9am. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
