Frank Louis Garofalo, 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12th at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH with his son and daughter-in-law by his side following a five year battle with cancer. Born October 9, 1946 in Lawrence, MA, he was the son of the late Frank and Angelina “Ann” (Cocchiaro) Garofalo. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1964.
He was a successful entrepreneur dealing in rare and ancient coins, antiques, collectables and fine art for over 50 years and was a lifetime member of the American Numismatic Association. Hobbies included travel, concerts, and movies and he was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Corrinne (Rossignol) Garofalo. He is survived by his son, Ross Garofalo and wife Kirstin, of Derry, NH; his fiancé, Sharon Parpart of Belmont, NH; his sister Sandra Lord of Salem, NH; his brother Michael Garofalo and wife Barbara of Norman, OK; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends visited on Tuesday from 4pm-7pm at the Peabody Funeral Home, 290 Mammoth Rd, Londonderry, NH. A funeral service followed immediately thereafter in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Frank Garofalo.
