MIDDLETON- Alice M. (McCourt) Johnson, 97, wife of Peter Johnson, of Middleton, died Sunday evening, September 11, 2005 at the Epoch of Weston, following a short illness.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Agnes C. (Stromberg) McCourt.
Mrs. Johnson was a resident of Middleton for most of her life. She was a devoted wife and mother, and her family was her life.
Besides her husband, with whom she shared 80 years of marriage, she is survived by three daughters, Linda A. and her husband Gordon Guttrich of Weston, Patricia A. Gove of Flagler Beach, Florida and Plum Island, Lillian and her husband John Prince of Pasadena, California, one son, Peter A. and his wife Sandra Johnson of Placida, Florida, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one brother, Albert McCourt of Holly Hills, Florida, one niece and one nephew. She was the mother of the late Jacqueline Johnson and sister of the late George McCourt, Agnes McCourt, and Lillian Merta.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday, September 15, 2005 at 12 pm in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. A visitation will be held from 11 am to noon, prior to the service. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial is in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton.
