George Gracia, Jr., 77, of Brentwood, Tennessee, formerly of New Bedford, died suddenly at home on Monday March 27, 2017.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late George and Julia (Gilmette) Gracia, he lived in New Bedford all of his life before moving to Tennessee six years ago.
George was formerly employed by Harvey Industries, and most recently by Reliable Security.
He was a graduate of New Bedford High School. He enjoyed playing softball, listening to music, and being the D.J. at family parties.
He is survived by three children, Brian Gracia of Tennessee, and George J. "Jo-Jo" Gracia and Robin M. Gracia, both of New Bedford; two sisters, Virginia Santos and Julie Gomes, both of New Bedford; his former wife, Marie Gracia of New Bedford; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
His visiting hours will be held on Tuesday April 18, 2017 from 3-6 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with a Memorial Service beginning at 5 PM.
