Obituary

SALEM - Mary Lou (Chalifour) Woodcock passed away peacefully in the company of beloved family on April 8th 2017 at Mass General Hospital.

Born in Saugus on September 11th 1969, Mary was a lifelong resident of Salem. Mary attended Bishop Fenwick High School and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She married Timothy D. Woodcock in 1992.

Mary is survived by her daughters Megan and Rebecca Woodcock, her mother Claire Chalifour, her sisters Lillian, Tracy, Susan, Doreen and Leslie, and her nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Arthur H. Chalifour.

Skydiver, chicken keeper, scrapbooker, giant pumpkin grower, pottery maker, Mary lived vibrantly and will be dearly missed. When not working or enjoying various hobbies, Mary enjoyed attending auctions and relaxing with her fiancé James Horton.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, North St., Salem, at the Peabody line. Visiting hours are Monday, at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
