Obituary

SALEM – Virginia J. (Dylingowski) Kelly, 93, wife of the late Thomas F. Kelly, died Monday evening, April 10, 2017 at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home with family at her side.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Pinkos) Dylingowski. She was a lifelong resident of the city and a lifelong parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening, baking and hosting family holiday gatherings.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and worked in the Department of Transitional Assistance for 16 years.

Virginia is survived by two sons, Mark Kelly and Paul Kelly, both of Beverly, one daughter, Cindy and her husband Theodore L. Spilman, III of Poway, CA,, 4 grandchildren, Lauren Kelly , Elizabeth Spilman, William Spilman, Theodore L. Spilman, IV, 1 great grandchild,, Theodore L. Spilman, V and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters, John, Richard, William, Joseph, Alyce A. Norris, Helen E. McLaughlin and Stella O’Shea and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Kelly.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 10 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Visiting hours are Friday, 4-7 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial is in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
