Obituary

Spring is a magical experience when nature comes alive and plants and trees begin their rebirth. Emily has done just that with her passing on Monday.

She was very proud of her Polish heritage and all who knew her can vouch for her pierogie, piggies, kolaczki and kruschiki.

Slot machines have missed her, weeds continue to grow in her gardens, hummingbirds are thirsty but her dogs are very happy to see her.

Born in Olyphant, daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Tronovitch Pociask, she was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Olyphant. Before retirement, she was a supervisor at Specialty Records, Olyphant. The family would like to thank the staff of D & B wing at Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center for their exceptional and professional care to Emily.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna Moskalczak, Blakely; and Kathy Conway and husband, Joseph, Blakely; a son, Gerald and wife, Kathy, Blakely; a grandson, Jesse Conway and partner, Michele Dolph, Blakely; a great-granddaughter, Emma Conway; a sister, Sophie Petrone, Peckville; two brothers, Edward, Peckville; and Stephen, Rochester.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Joseph, Walter, Lewis and Thomas.

Funeral services will be Wednesday with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church at Holy Cross Parish in Olyphant. Friends may call Wednesday from 8:30 until service time in the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant. Interment, St. George's Cemetery, Taylor, Pennsylvania.

In honor of Emily, plant some flowers, pull weeds, feed the birds or adopt an animal.
