Florence, Oscar, 74, of Highland Park, passed from this life to his forever home on April 11, 2017. There to enjoy golf with his Heavenly Father, for eternity, driving to the golf course in his ‘62 Corvette.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Pat Higgins Florence; loving son, Jason (Sonya); daughters, Sheridan Vowels, and Darwina Goodson; grandchildren, Gavin, Addie, Tabitha, Ashley, great-grandchild, Marley, and “special” granddaughters, Madi and Kaitlin; sister in law and brother in law, Toni and Bill Baum; special loving nephews, Jody, Jamie and John (Julie); niece, Beth (Todd); great-nephews, Ashton, Shephard, Jack, Sam, Cameron, Elliott; great nieces, Mary Kate and Lola; his loving, faithful companions, Lilly and Maggie; also his circle of friends, especially Steve and Dowanna.
We would like to thank special nurses and doctors who took care of Oscar and helped him cross over to his forever home, Myra , Mary, and Dr. Carl Morgan of ICU, Allison and Cheyanne of 4th Floor. Also, all his friends at his dialysis clinic, especially Chris, Tameka, and Michelle. He loved you guys!
We love you Oscar. Your suffering is over, rest in peace my love.

Funeral services are Friday at 12:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
Burial is at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
Visitation is Thursday 2:00-8:00 PM.
