Obituary

In Boston, April 4, 2017 Edward “Ted” L. Carnes III, Age 52, passed away in Beth Israel Hospital following a lengthy illness. Edward is survived by his loving wife Juanita (Rodriques) Carnes. He was born Taunton, the son of the late Edward L. Carnes Jr. and Virginia (Perry) Carnes. Ted was a lifetime resident of Raynham. He attended Raynham schools and was a graduate of Bridgewater Raynham Regional High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Ted worked as a self employed carpenter. He was known to have a great sense of humor and he enjoyed fishing, listening to music, traveling, watching all the local sports teams and spending time with his family. Ted is survived by his children, Keith Edson and his wife Margaret of Raynham, Kimberly Melo and her husband Paul of Acushnet, Patty Edson of Manchester, NH, Barbara Edson and her wife Judith Drew of Epping, NH and Kirk Edson and his wife Michelle of Attleboro. He also leaves his siblings, Mary Hazen of Raynham, Debbie Marotte of FL and the late Pat Baslon and John Carnes. Ted also leaves his ten loving grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Friday, April 14th at 10 am. Funeral home visiting hours will be on Thursday from 5-7 pm. Burial in the family lot in Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham. Donations in Edward’s memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter #57, 5-7 Taunton Green, Taunton, MA 02780.
