Thomas E. Morgan Jr., 37, of Derry, NH, died unexpectedly on Friday April 7, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born in Winchester, MA on August 1, 1979, son of Thomas E. Morgan Sr. and Susan (Farquharson) Morgan. Tom worked as an elevator mechanic for the International Union of Elevator Constructors.
Tom was a hardworking, loyal, dependable, man who was fiercely protective of everything important to him. He loved his family more than anything. He adored his wife and children and took great pride building a beautiful life for them. He also loved music, cars, quads, bonfires and camping with family and friends. If anyone needed anything, he was the first to show up and the last to leave. He was loved by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 8 years, Lori (Kurtz) Morgan of Derry, his two children, Eva and Wes Morgan of Derry, his father, Thomas E. Morgan Sr. of Wakefield, MA, his mother, Susan Morgan of Derry, sister, Jessica Morgan and partner David Hopkins of Billerica, MA, brother, Jeffrey Morgan and his wife Ashley, of Derry, a niece and a nephew, father-in-law, Noel Kurtz and his wife Kathryn, mother-in-law, Ellen Kurtz, sister-in-law, Greta Kurtz , as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial calling hours were held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Peabody Funeral Home, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Eva and Wes Morgan College Fund, care of Bank of America at 57 Crystal Ave in Derry, NH.
