Zelvis, Jonathan E., age 60, of Rockland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2017
surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, he had lived in Dorchester for many years. Jonathan was a longtime Technician of B.A.E. Systems in Lexington. He was the beloved husband of Karen L. (McCaughey) Zelvis, devoted father of Brenden McCaughey, both of Rockland, and the cherished son of John E. Zelvis of Kingston and the late Anna M. (Veneto) Zelvis. He is also survived by his dear brother Paul J. Zelvis (B.P.D.) & his wife Kristen and his nephew and nieces; Benjamin Paul, Olivia Mae & Abigail Grace Zelvis, all of Duxbury. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Hills Church, 29 St. Mary’s Road, Milton, Tuesday at 10 am. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Monday from 4 to 8 pm. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Norwell Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, 12 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
