Ssgt. Thomas Junior Lawson (USMC - retired), 87 years old, of Halifax, MA passed away on Thursday April 6, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was the son of John Franklin Lawson and Jessie Addie Campbell of Texas. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Charlotte Ann Lawson, his daughter Diane and her husband Tom McBride of Bridgewater, MA, his son David and his wife Susan of Abington, MA, and his son James and his wife Kathryn of Angier, NC. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews
He was a career Marine and he served in Korea and Vietnam. He enjoyed his bowling league at the Hanson A.A and his trips to various casinos. He loved telling stories while sitting with his family and friends. He was one of a kind.
Visiting hours will be at Shepherds Funeral Home in Pembroke, Ma on Wednesday April 12, 2017 from 4-8pm. Graveside side services will be on Thursday April 13th at 10:30am in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers Donations may be made to Beacon Hospice 32 Resnick Road Plymouth, MA 02360
