Jim M. Reid, Jr.
Martinez, GA – Entered into peaceful rest Thursday, April 6, 2017, Mr. James “Jim” Madden Reid, Jr., age 56.
Jim never met a stranger and was a good friend to all who knew him. His kindness and ability to make other feel special was truly a gift. Jim loved his family and friends and would do anything for them. He always put others first. Jim was a devoted helper to his parents, Madden and Joan.
Jim was an accomplished tennis player for Westside High School and Augusta College. He also held numerous state and local tennis titles and was an avid sports fan.
Jim is preceded in death by his brother Guy Reid and father Madden Reid. His is survived by his mother Joan Reid; sister Kim Arfman and husband Richard Arfman; nieces Katie and Maggie Arfman and nephew Matt Reid.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 11, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Richards, Hank Bridges, Kuenn Poppell, John Nixon, Cy Banick and Phil Gunnells.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 at the church and following the burial at the residence of Mrs. Joan Reid.
