Ronald L. “Ronnie” Nye 61 years of Brockton died Saturday evening at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born and raised in Brockton a son of Dorothy F. (White) Nye of Brockton and the late Joseph L. Nye. He had been a longtime resident of Brockton with the exception of the years 1968-1980 when he lived in Canton.
Mr. Nye had been employed by the former Randy Boat Shoe Manufacturer in Randolph and Morse Shoe in Canton.
He had been a member of the Rockland Eagles.
Mr. Nye enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved all animals.
In addition to his wife Kathleen L. (Reardon) Nye he is survived by two brothers and two sisters William J. Nye of Palm Springs, FL; Karen L. McCarthy of Brockton; Steven D. Nye of E. Bridgewater and Caroline E. Dunham of Lakeville and many nieces and nephews.
