Deborah Star (Boles) Steckis, 59, of Goffstown, NH passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at her home. She was born May 21, 1957 in Houlton, ME, the daughter of the late Leland “Lee” and Janice (Merrill) Boles. Deborah moved to NH with her parents in 1963 and graduated from Pinkerton Academy, Derry, Class of 1975. She worked for many years making circuit boards, most recently working for Light Speed.
In addition to her mother of Derry, she is also survived by her husband, Richard Steckis of Goffstown, one daughter Tiffany Silva of Goffstown, two grandsons, Xavier and Landon Silva, one sister, Kimberly Dunton and her husband Everett of Derry, four brothers, Kevin Boles, Curtis Boles, and Douglas Boles and his wife Evelyn, all of Derry, and Kerry Boles and his wife Laura of Hampstead, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Leland Boles in 2008 and her sister, Katie M. “Kate” Boles in 2016.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2 – 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 10th at 1:00pm in the funeral home. Burial followed in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Deborah’s memory to an education fund being set up by the family for her grandsons.
