Kathleen Ann (Campanella) Forestier, of Malden, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 3rd. She was 59.
Born in Tokyo, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Liberio and Misue (Goseki) Campanella.
Parents, Misue and Frank Campanella welcomed Kathy October 30, 1957 in Tokyo, Japan. Kathy's parents were her whole life and sadly she lost her father when she was a young girl. Visiting with her family was an important part of her life and she adored her grandmother and all of her nieces and nephews--like a good Italian family there are too many to name. Kathy was blessed to have her cousin Beverly who was truly a sister to her, not just a cousin. Kathy enjoyed travel with friends and family and cherished visiting tropical islands and especially her mother's vacation home in Marco Island. After her mother became ill, Kathy dedicated years to caring for her and making sure that Misue was well taken care of. Kathy's heart was full of love for her family.
Kathy met her husband Jay at one of their favorite local Somerville establishments. It was a place were friends would gather regularly and freely exchanged their daily stories. Even though Kathy lived in various cities throughout Boston--Somerville was her home. Somerville is where she had her closest connections and childhood friends.
For Kathy and Jay, their children were Harley, Buster and Gunther. The dogs that they adopted and loved for many years. Initially Kathy never had an interest in dogs, but after they adopted their puppy, Harley she developed a passion and love for these special animals. That led her to adopt Buster, the dog that she traveled hundreds of miles to save and take him home. Buster would cuddle and bury his head in Kathy's lap. Last came Gunter, the most lovable and goofy dog. These animals were her children.
Kathy worked for 27 years at the New England where she would help people with their retirement funds. Kathy worked for JetBlue for the past 6 years assisting people with their travel. Kathy loved helping others, from caring from her parents, her dogs, and people at work. Kathy was a very special person with a loving heart.
Kathy will be missed by many and is loved by all.
Kathleen was the wife of John “Jay” Forestier of Malden and the devoted daughter-in-law of Carol Forestier of Somerville. She was the dear sister-in-law of Carolyn Mulrey and her husband Mark of Maynard, Gary Forestier of Burlington, Andrea Steinberg and her husband Mark of WI, Derek Forestier and his wife Christina of Malden and the loving niece of Carol Colangelo of Tewksbury. She was the cherished cousin of Beverly Robinson of Tewksbury and her children Kaitlin Robinson of NH, Lyndsay and John Robinson, both of Tewksbury. Kathleen is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and her JetBlue family.
