Peggy Joann (Toney) Robinson, 79, of Anderson died April 4, 2017 at Community Northview Care Center after an extended illness.
Peggy was born November 13, 1937 in Danville, Kentucky, the daughter of Claude F. and Nannie (Rayburn) Toney.
She owned Budget Tax Company in Sikeston, Missouri and Jackson, Mississippi for 20 years. She was a pastor's wife for 40 years and the wife of the President for 10 years at Mid American Christian University. She was a member of (C.W.C.) Christian Women's Connection, a part of ALIVE and a member of The Growing in Grace Sunday School Class at East Side Church of God. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports in high school and college.
She is survived by her three sons, Dr. Kerry (Becky) Robinson of Anderson; Rev. Kevin (Rev. Beverly) Robinson of Lebanon, TN; and Kelly (Kelly) Robinson of Cullman, AL; sister, Bonnie Muse of Georgetown, KY; two sisters-in-law: Martha Robinson Campbell of Mt. Juliet, TN; Susie Robinson Huff of Reidland, KY; three brothers-in-law; Jerry Robinson and Larry Robinson of Reidland, KY and Brice Casey of Greenville, TN; 8 grandchildren, Kyle Robinson, Kameron (Hannah) Robinson, Rev. Kayla (Nate) Robinson-Harden, Kassie Robinson, Kiersten Robinson, Kristian Robinson, Kolby Robinson and Kyleigh Robinson, great grandson, Aiden Harden; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dr. Forrest Robinson in 2010, brother, Claude F. Toney, Jr., sisters, Irma Paige, Nancy Casey and Mary Jarvis.
Service will be held Monday, April 10 at 1:30 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. Kerry B. Robinson, Dr. Carl V. Addison and Rev. Doug Lucy officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 until the service at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family expresses their gratitude for the loving care of the staff at both Crown Pointe Assisted Living and Community Northview Care Center.
