Dolores L. Howard, 83
Longtime Tewksbury and Billerica Resident
BILLERICA: Dolores L. Howard, age 83, died at the Life Care Center of the Merrimack Valley on Monday, April 3, 2017.
Born in Chelsea on February 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. Sarni and the late Amelia (DiDominco) Sarni.
She was educated at William’s Grammar School, graduating from Chelsea High School with the Class of 1952.
Upon which she worked for the New England Telephone Company in Chelsea for two years as an operator.
She married William A. Howard, Jr. (deceased) also of Chelsea.
Dolores moved to Tewksbury in 1954.
Her interests included gardening, cooking, music and photography.
She worked for Market Basket, Oakdale Mall Tewksbury for many years until her retirement as a cashier.
Dolores is survived by sons, William A. Howard, III and his wife Arleen of Durham, NH, Charles G. Howard of Boston, and Richard C. Howard and his wife Cindy of Corona, CA; daughter-in-law, Kelly Howard; grandchildren; Matthew, Nathan, Emily, Joshua, Corey Ann, Michael T. Howard, Jr., Tammy, Ashley, Kayla, and Chelsea Howard. She also leaves several great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Dolores was the mother of the late Shawn P. and Michael T. Howard.
Calling hours are Saturday, April 8, from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, followed by her Funeral Mass at 12 Noon at St. Dorothy’s Church, Cor. of Main & Harnden Sts., Wilmington. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
