Obituary

Manchester– Walter Duguay, 87, died April 2, 2017 at Elliot Hospital following a period of declining health.
He was born in Manchester on July 9, 1929 the son of Walter and Gertrude (Scully) Duguay and had been a lifelong resident of Manchester.

He was a graduate of Manchester Central High School and was inducted into the Queen City Athletic Hall of Fame.

Prior to his retirement he was a Terminal Manager at Consolidated Freightways.
He served his country in the U. S. Army and was the Commander of the NH National Guard, the Aviation Section of the 39th Division and the Searchlight Division. He also held membership at Henry J. Sweeney Post 2.
He was predeceased by his wife Theresa (Harrington) Duguay in 2015 and a son Walter J. Duguay
Family members include two sons, Douglas D. Duguay and his wife, Alice of Leland, NC., Shannon J. Duguay and his partner, Tina, of Hooksett, four grandchildren, Jennifer, Daniel, Kelly, and Scott.

A memorial reception will take place on Friday from 4 to 7 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.

A prayer service will be held at 6:00 in the funeral home.

Burial will take place later in the spring in the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
