Joanne E. (Kucich) Frederick, 77, of Sebastian, FL and Laconia, NH, formerly of Brockton, MA, passed away peacefully at her home in Sebastian on March 28, 2017. Joanne was the loving wife of Ronald W. Frederick for 56 years. Born and raised in Hyde Park, MA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Fortunata (Pistorio) Kucich.
Joanne was a graduate of Hyde Park High School, and she spent twenty five years working at Brockton Hospital in the Environmental Services Department, retiring as Supervisor. In her retirement she loved cheering on her favorite sports teams, the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots; enjoyed going on many cruises with her beloved husband Ronny, and shopping for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was the mother of Linda Snow and husband William of Whitman, MA, Christine Hurley and husband Robert of Laconia, NH and the late Ronald “Bub” Frederick; the attentive grandmother of Shawn, Ronnie, and Robbie Hurley of Laconia, NH, and Stephanie Powers, William Powers, and Katie Carter of Whitman, MA and loving great-grandmother of Jack Carter, soon-to-be baby girl Carter, and Emily and William Powers. She is also survived by her twin sister Joyce Abruzzese of Holbrook, MA, brothers Anthony Kucich of Franklin, MA and Kenneth Kucich of Hyde Park, MA and sister Marie Briggs of Plymouth, MA. She will be sadly missed by her many wonderful friends at her Beach Cove home in Sebastian, FL.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, April 11th at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, from 8:00 AM-10:00 AM, immediately followed by a funeral Mass at Holy Ghost Church in Whitman at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Brockton.
