NEW BRITAIN, CT – Antonio Vieira Medeiros, age 80 formerly of Suffolk St. Fall River, MA, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Grandview Rehab & Healthcare Center, New Britain, CT. Born in São Sebastião, Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Açores, he was the beloved husband of Zulmira (Cordeiro) Medeiros and the son of the late Jose Vieira Medeiros & Maria da Lourdes (Marques) Medeiros. Prior to retiring, Antonio worked as a presser for Woodland Mfg. Co. He was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
In addition to his wife of New Britain, CT, he is survived by his children: Luis Vieira of Fall River, Carlos Vieira, Paula Raposo, & Maria Costa all of CT, and the late Jose Pedro Vieira. He was the brother of Libral Vieira Medeiros, Lilliana Costa, Maria Santo Christo Costa, Maria Joanna Raposa, & the late Maria Lourdes Correia; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
