Obituary

Manchester– Gregory J. Weeden, 66, died April 2, 2017, at Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born in Middletown, NY on November 4, 1950, the son of Oliver and Olive (Skinner) Weeden.

Greg served his country in the Unites States Air Force from 1969 until 1980.

After his military service, he graduated from Hesser College in Manchester, NH and worked in Data Processing for the NH Department of Corrections. Recently, Greg worked in security for local companies.

Greg was a longtime Boy Scout volunteer including time as the Scoutmaster of Troop 113. He also volunteered as an instructor with the NH Hunter Safety program.

He will be greatly missed by his many family and friends.

Family members include his wife of 38 years, Joyce (Matthew) Weeden of Manchester, one son, Christopher J. Weeden of Belleville, MI., one daughter, Shannon Criswell of Arlington, TX, one brother, Lance Weeden of Middletown, NY., two sisters, Sue Lapinski of Duryea, PA., Elizabeth Skala and her husband, Robert of Stephenson, VA., nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.

A committal service will take place on Thursday at 11 AM in NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

Those who wish to attend the committal please meet at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Boy Scout Campership fund in memory of Gregory J. Weeden to Daniel Webster Council, 471 Holt Ave, Manchester, NH 03109
