FLORIDA - Mrs. Ann M. (Cardello) Dingman, 96, passed on Sunday April 2nd at the Legacy House in Ocala, Florida.
Ann was born on June 17, 1920 in Everett, Massachusetts to the late Giuseppe “Joseph” and the late Rose (Pocaro) Cardello. She was the loving wife of fifty-two years to the late DeLoss L. Dingman who passed on May 3, 1996.
Ann was educated in Everett, MA, and graduated from Everett High School in 1938. She then attended and graduated from Burdette Business School before enlisting and serving in the United States Navy during World War II. It was during her Navy service that she met her future husband DeLoss.
She served the country for more than 38 years, initially as a Navy “Wave,” and later as a civilian with the U.S. Defense Department, eventually retiring as a Contract Administrator with the Defense Contract Administration and Procurement Service.
Ann was pre-deceased by her siblings, Dominic Cardello, Emilio Cardello, and Gilda Weber. She is survived by six children, Ann DiToro and her husband Ronnie, of Oldsmar, FL, Carol Dingman, of Orlando, FL, Dennis Dingman and his wife Marie, of Panama City Beach, FL, Paul Dingman, of Fitchburg, MA, Marlene Dingman Camp, of Ocala, FL, Brian Dingman and his wife Kathy, of Londonderry, NH; a sister, Viola Behan, a sister in law, Emelia Cardello; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends our invited to visiting hours Sunday, April 9, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey St and 975 Main St (Rt38) Tewksbury Center, Ph (800 in Ma or 978) 851-2950. Her funeral will begin Monday, April 10, at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St (Rt38) Tewksbury Monday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St Mary’s Cemetery, Tewksbury.
