Obituary

Holden—Edith A. (Hautaniemi) Maki, 82, formerly of Holden, died Monday, September 5, 2005, in Michigan. Her husband of 52 years, Arvo J. Maki, died in 1998. She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, David J. and Catherine Maki, with whom she lived and 2 grandchildren, Alyson and Stefan. She was predeceased by a brother and 2 sisters, Uno Hautaniemi, Lillian Hattula, and Linnea Manus. Edith was in Worcester, a daughter of Antti and Anna (Syrjala) Hautaniemi. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. A calling hour will be held at 9:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 41 Whitmarsh Ave., Worcester, MA 01606 or The Arbor Hospice Foundation, 2366 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48103-8944.
