LOWELL - Suzanne A. "Suzy" (Blier) McGuire, age 55, passed away on March 31, 2017 after a long illness with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 13, 1961 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lowell and was the daughter of Andrew Blier of Tewksbury, and the late Mary Blier, and Aida (Rivas) Knowles of Kissimmee, FL. Suzy was a lifelong resident of Lowell and attended the local schools.
Suzy had a great sense of humor, even in her last moments with her loved ones. She had an infectious laugh and smile that was on full display whenever she was able to spend time with her family. These are the things we will remember most about her.
Besides her father and mother, she is survived by her children, Christina Cabrera of Lowell, Andrew McGuire and his wife Kim of Lowell, Matthew McGuire of Austin, TX, James Brown, Micheala Brown, Samantha Brown, Christina Brown, and Shannon Brown all of Lowell; her siblings, Margaret Chartier and her husband James of Lowell, Leonard Blier of Lowell, Pamela Beaumont and her husband Scott of Kissimmee, FL, Frank Goodwin and his wife Debora of Vero Beach, FL, John Goodwin and his wife Kate of Bedford, NH, Paula St. Louis and her husband David of Lowell, Danielle Blier of Lowell, and Andrew Blier and his wife Kelly of Tilton, NH; her grandchildren, Katiana Cruz and Marisela Cabrera, Ethan, Trevor, Logan and Aubrey McGuire, Damian Peters, Kyle Brown, Lily and Skyla Foote all of Lowell; her longtime companion, James Brown of Lowell; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary McGuire in 2015; two sons, Eric McGuire in 2013 and Joey Brown; her mom, Mary Blier in 2011; and a granddaughter, Taylor McGuire.
Visiting hours Wednesday, April 5, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. A Prayer Service will follow on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
