Phyllis J. McNutt, 79 of Deerfield, NH and Sarasota, FL died September 8, 2005. She was born in Towanda, PA and spent most of her life in Needham, MA where she was a policewoman and a District Sales Manager for World Book Encyclopedia for more than 10 years. After moving to NH, she worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Hampshire for 17 years. In retirement, she enjoyed 18 winters in Sarasota , Florida. She is much loved and will be missed by her surviving daughters, Phyllis Hussey of Deerfield ,NH and Jan Merikanto of Sarasota, FL, her dear friend and companion Jim Burtner of Hampstead NH, her 5 grandchildren Wayne, Alyson, Steve, Kristin and Larry, 6 great grandchildren Jonathan, Tyler, Brandon, Matthew, Emily, and Benjamin, her 2 sisters Janet and Beverly and three brothers Howard, Bill and Jack. She was pre- deceased by her husband, Melvin “Bud” J. McNutt who died in 1966 and their daughter Ann Patricia Ann McNutt who died in 1951. A memorial Service will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home , 1351 Highland Ave. Needham, MA on Monday September 12th at 1:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Firefighters of Derry NH, Local 43-92, P.O.
