FALL RIVER – João M. Rego, age 60 of Fall River, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at home with his family by his side. Born in Ajuda da Bretanha, São Miguel, Açores, he was the husband of Margarida (Carvalho) Rego and the son of the late Manuel doRego Perica & Mariana Medeiros. Prior to retiring, João worked as a Weaver for the former Quaker Mfg. Co. and he was also a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Alexandra Rego of Somerset; his siblings: Antonio, Manuel, Valdemar, & Maria Rego; nieces, nephews; and his beloved dog: Dino.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday with a wake from 9:30-10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. www.rogersfuneral.com.
