Maxine K. (King) Hawkins, 99, of Anderson died peacefully at Bethany Pointe Health Campus, March 30, 2017.
She was born November 30, 1917 in Flora, IN the daughter of Edgar and Frances King.
She attended Methodist School of Nursing and was a registered nurse working at Americana Nursing Home for 20 years, retiring as assistant director of nursing. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and golf. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Greg) Noland and her son, Jack K. (Neva) Hawkins; four grandchildren, Dan (Sara Hargrave) Noland; April (Ron) Groves; Christine (Chris) Nealis; Robin (Walter) Renderos; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willard C. "Bill" Hawkins in 1991 and five siblings.
Service will be held at noon on Monday, April 3 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Kevin Bausman of First Presbyterian Church officiating.
Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 10 until the service at Noon at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to First Presbyterian Church.
