Donat E. Brin, 84, of New Bedford died Monday March 20, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Pierrette A. (Brin) Brin.
Born in Roxton Falls, Quebec, Canada, the son of the late Aime and Maria (Gagne) Brin, he lived in New Bedford for the past 48 years.
Mr. Brin was formerly employed as a welder with the New Bedford Water Department until his retirement. He had previously worked at Maurice Goyette Welding. In his retirement, he was the church sexton at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife; four children, Diane Almond of New Bedford, Alain Brin of Spain, Lucie Farland of New Bedford, and Helene Doyle of Fall River; his siblings, Omer Brin and Rita Chaput, both of Canada; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
