Edna Lee Smith, 91, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Pruitt Health in Ocilla, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held, 2 PM, Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Grace Baptist Church, in Mystic, Georgia, with the Rev. Derrell Hampton officiating. Interment will follow in the Mystic Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at Grace Baptist Church.
Ms. Smith was born December 30, 1925, in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late Henry D. & Janie Mae Whitley Miller. She had lived in the community since 1954 and was a homemaker. Ms. Smith had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Smith of Wray; three sons: William Howard Smith, Jr. of Ocilla, Royce E. Smith of Irwin County and Ciscero Smith of Ocilla; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Pearlie Mae Gaither of Tifton, Martha Harper of Ocilla, Mandy Cliett of Florida and Margie Smith of Ocilla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Smith, Sr.; a son, Henry B. Smith; four sisters and one brother.
